Sonoco raises prices on tube and core products

Sonoco will implement a minimum 5 percent increase on all of its tube and core products shipped in the United States and Canada. “The price increase reflects recent increases in paper and other raw material costs,” said John Colyer, Sonoco’s vice president, Industrial Products North America. 

The price increase, will become effective September 15, 2008, and will be in addition to an energy surcharge announced in June.
